Hi, my name is Wendy Mum of two from Gately Stockport, I started working from home after being made redundant from my job after 32year, this gave me the opportunity to start my own small business. Doing what I love most memory bears and cushions, I have been sewing most of my life my mum and her best friend were a sewing machinist for many years, I’ve always been into sewing and crafting from an early age, and I’ve crafted a lot of things over the years for family and friends. now I have the opportunity to make lots of memorial items from bears to cremation ashes in jewellery, 8 years ago I found myself in a deeply emotional situation when a dear friend experienced the loss of someone close to her. witnessing her grief inspired me to find a meaningful way to honour her loved one’s memory. that’s when I discovered the art of making memory bears from cherished clothing items, symbolizing love and remembrance. what began as a personal project to support my friends quickly blossomed into a passion. each bear or cushion I create is imbued with the stories and memories of the individual it represents, offering comfort to those navigating their own grief. The process of transforming fabric into a lasting keepsake has become a fulfilling journey for me, allowing me to connect with others who have experienced loss of their own.
